【Product Description】
Each piece is individually crafted using traditional Kutani ware techniques. This vessel, suitable for sake cups, ochoko, or tea cups, is made with the wish that it will add a touch of elegance to your cherished, relaxing moments of drinking sake or tea.
It is adorned with underglaze blue paintings of peonies, often called the "King of Flowers" or "Flower of Riches and Honor," which are culturally considered very auspicious, and chrysanthemums, the emblem of the Imperial Family, symbolizing Japan and representing dignity and elegance.
Flowers have been a recurring motif in the artist's paintings for many years, and the delicate flowers dancing on the vessel embody the desire to reflect the emotion experienced when seeing nature or something beautiful.
Each piece is created intuitively, born from improvisation without preliminary sketches, making the dynamic brushwork and the uniqueness of each piece its charm.
This vessel has a beautiful, elegant presence with a slightly tall form.
The highest quality shaping, created by a skilled potter who has produced the base for many master Kutani craftsmen, is then hand-painted.
